Some time ago my main photography workstation suffered a meltdown and as a result, a good deal of unarchived images were lost. Nothing client related of course but photos I made which were still sitting on the main drive, waiting to be culled, sorted and edited. I keep my client work on a RAID backup system. The personal stuff wasn't accorded the same protection though until that event took place. That main drive was finally recovered by a good friend of mine and to my surprise there are a very usable percentage of images from my trip to Morocco. He was able to save about 35% of the total files.
